In a bizarre collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden group.
The mission centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
